On February 7, a food promotion event of the "Guangdong Goods Global Reach" Campaign, jointly hosted by the Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province, officially kicked off in Guangzhou. The event brought together food enterprises across multiple cities, including Guangzhou, Dongguan, Qingyuan, Jiangmen, and Foshan, attracting large numbers of visitors to sample the products.

In 2025, Guangdong's food industries above designated size achieved a revenue of nearly 900 billion yuan, ranking second nationwide, representing a 20% increase compared to 2020. In the core area, Guangzhou, Foshan, and Dongguan each have food industry scales exceeding 100 billion yuan. Along the "coastal food industry belt," Shenzhen, Jiangmen, and Zhanjiang have each surpassed 50 billion yuan in food industry scale.
